Thank you for your insights and participation in my Storyteller Superpowers presentation. It was wonderful to have such an interactive group of talented teachers.

As promised the blog post with presentation slides and other resources is HERE.

Also thank you for sharing what books you are reading right now, both professionally and for fun. It seems like Grading for Equity has been on a lot of our minds, and I read that book last spring with a cohort of teachers.

We dug into our practices and found ways to make adjustments for more student-centered equitable grading. It was a positive experience that has trickled into my classroom, enabling students to have more ownership of their learning and making their grades more indicative of how well they have mastered the material by the end of the class.

Kudos to you, language teachers! I wish you the best for the remainder of this school year.

La Llama Rosada

Along with my fiction and writing coaching, I provide Spanish curriculum for teachers who like complete lesson plans that engage students and inductively help them learn the language. The first complete unit is based on pitching a restaurant and has editable, printable lessons with answer keys and Google slides presentations to make teaching easier.  The assessment for this unit is a gallery walk with feedback worksheets, and rubrics that align with ACTFL and proficiency ways of teaching like Storytelling, TPRS, and Comprehensible Input methods.

Do you know a language teacher, or are one yourself?  Check out my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Join my Spanish Classroom Newsletter for La Llama Posada–coming soon!
